1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Ad World News (“Ad World News,” “the Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information through adworldnews.com. Ad World News is a trade publication covering advertising, connected TV, and creative production, published and operated by Waymark I, Inc. (“Waymark”), located at 1555 Broadway Street, 3rd Floor, Detroit, MI 48226. Waymark is the data controller for information collected through this Site. For more on how the publication is funded and how that relationship works, see About Ad World News.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Your email address, if you subscribe to the Ad World News newsletter using the sign-up form on the Site.
  • Your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include, if you contact our editorial team at editors@adworldnews.com — for example, a story tip, a correction, a question about an interview invitation, or a note from a communications or PR team.

Information collected automatically:

  • Standard technical and usage information collected through our website platform, Webflow — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring pages — along with cookies Webflow uses to operate and analyze the Site.
  • Website traffic and usage information collected through Google Analytics 4 — such as users, sessions, page views, and on-site events — as described in Section 5 below.
  • Information collected through the LinkedIn Insight Tag (see Section 5, Cookies and Tracking Technologies, below).

3. How We Use Information

  • Newsletter emails: to send you the Ad World News newsletter and to stop sending it if you unsubscribe. Newsletter subscriber data is used solely to operate the Ad World News newsletter — it is not shared with or entered into Waymark's separate product or marketing systems.
  • Editorial and contact emails: to respond to your message, evaluate story ideas or interview invitations, and coordinate any resulting coverage or contribution.
  • Automatically collected, Google Analytics 4, and LinkedIn Insight Tag data: to understand traffic and readership, measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising, and improve the Site.

4. How We Share Information

  • Service providers: Webflow (hosting, forms, and site analytics), Google (Google Analytics 4 traffic and usage analytics), and LinkedIn (advertising measurement) process or receive data as described above, solely to provide those services.
  • Waymark: Waymark I, Inc. owns and operates Ad World News and is the data controller for information collected through the Site. As noted above, newsletter subscriber data specifically is not shared with Waymark's separate marketing or CRM systems.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ad World News, Waymark, our readers, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Webflow cookies: our website platform, Webflow, uses cookies to operate the Site and to provide us with basic analytics about how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; more information is available at

allaboutcookies.org

Google Analytics 4: we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9GY53EC5KP) to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, the number of users and sessions, which pages are viewed, and which on-site actions are taken. Google Analytics collects information such as IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited through cookies and similar technologies. This information is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at

tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

LinkedIn Insight Tag: we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising and to understand which pages visitors view. This tag can collect information such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, the page visited, and the time of the visit, and — if you are logged into LinkedIn — may allow LinkedIn to associate this activity with your LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn's use of this information is governed by LinkedIn's own privacy policy. You can review LinkedIn's opt-out options at

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information — for example, the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to object to or restrict certain processing. This can include rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) if you are a California resident, or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you are located in the European Economic Area. To exercise these rights, contact us at editors@adworldnews.com or Waymark's privacy team at privacy@waymark.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at editors@adworldnews.com and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain the information described in this Policy for as long as needed for the purposes described above — for example, newsletter subscriber emails for as long as you remain subscribed — unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

9. International Users

Ad World News is based in and operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy
